Blood reveals much about a person, and flow cytometry can measure it. How many cells are there? Are they intact? Optics make it visible, and IMM Photonics contributes. Likewise, in drug detection, when substances rather than cells are examined—small differences, big impact. To prevent contamination from germs or bacteria, IMM Photonics also offers UV-LED modules for disinfection. Light kills, but it also heals, as seen in biostimulation, where healing processes and cell regeneration are promoted. To prevent illnesses from arising in the first place, our optical modules are used in food quality control. Optics make quality visible. On the smallest scale, our modules bring differences to light, such as in fluorescence microscopy.

Contactless measurements from a distance, without distortion, instantaneously and accurately—this is what optical sensing achieves. Object detection, gas detection, flame detection, and particle measurement are just a few examples where optical support increases speed and precision. IMM Photonics modules illuminate, convert, and measure when dangers need to be detected and tiny differences captured. What is changing, what remains the same, and how should we react? Measurement and testing are faster when no mass is moving: ideally with light. Fiber optics reach locations too hot or cold for standard sensors.
