Power-over-Fiber offers a useful solution by transmitting both data and pump light for photodiodes simultaneously. The latter can be converted into electricity at the destination, powering electrical and electronic components. This combines energy supply and data communication into a single line. IMM Photonics supplies both transmitting and receiving units for this task.
