The micro prisms are right-angled 45°-90°-45° prisms with sizes ranging from 0.5 mm to 5.0 mm with the format A = B = C. These are used to refract a light beam 90° or 180°. Coated prisms can also be used as specular reflectors of the incident light. Uncoated prisms act as mirrors for incident light on one of the short sides, as the incident light on the hypotenuse is completely internally reflected.
